Opal L. Stevenson,94, of Keosauqua died Aug. 2,1999, at the Van Buren Co. Hospital, Keosauqua. She was born April 6,1905 near Billings,Ok, to George and Valara Mankin Wolf. She married Willard Hervey, Dec. 26,1926. They were divorced in 1946. She married B.D."Hi" Stevenson, April 10,1948 in Memphis,Mo. She was a homemaker and worked for the Fairfield Glove Co. and in the dietary department at the Van Buren Co. Hospital. Surviving are a son, Byron Hervey and a daughter Valara Ferris, both of Keosauqua; five grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren and an uncle, Arthur Poling, Wapello. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Leroy, Basil, and Ray Wolf, two sisters, Virgil Hamberg and Helen Wolf. a granddaughter,Angela Jones, a great nephew, Will Jobe and a great niece, Betty Husky. Funeral services will be Aug.5 at the Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua. Burial will be in Harness Cemetery, Mt. Sterling.
