Mabel Louise Cole, daughter of Will and Mayme Cook Poling, was born Sept. 29,1927, at Pittsburg and departed this life July 19,1973, at the Ottumwa Hospital at the age of 45. She graduated from Keosauqua High School with the class of 1945 and lived her entire life in Van Buren Co. For a number of years she operated the Holden Nursing Home is Bonaparte. Remaining to cherish her memory are her husband, Raymond; her parents Mr. and Mrs. Will Poling of Cantril; two daughters, Roiann at home and Mrs. Judy Boughner; two sons,John Holden of Bonaparte and PFC Richard Holden of Ft. Leonardwood, Mo; two brothers William of Mt. Prospect,Il and Sgt. Frank Poling of Ft. Riley,Ks; three grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held July 22,1973 at the Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua. Interment was in the Pittsburg Cemetery.
