Verla M. Wolfe,80, of Keosauqua died Aug. 13,1995, at the Van Buren Co. Hospital, Keosauqua. She was born Jan. 31,1915 near Keosauqua to Charley and Jennie Zachau Cole. She married John Martin May 12,1934. He died April 1963. She married Leonard Wolfe in 1972. He died Oct. 25,1974. She worked at the Hotel Manning for several years and was custodian at the Farmers State Bank, Keosauqua. Most of her life was lived in the Cantril-Keosauqua area. Surviving are a sister, Ruth Manning, of Cantril; a stepson Dean Wolfe, Bonaparte and a stepdaughter, Martha Glaha, Keosauqua and several stepgrandchildren and step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond, Roy and Lester Cole and by a stepson, Billy Wolfe. Funeral services were held Aug. 15 at the Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua.
