Fred O. Jones died on his 68th birthday, Oct. 7, at his home near Mt. Sterling. He had been failing in health for several years. The son of Edward and Mary Rupe Jones, he was born Oct. 7,1886, near Mt. Sterling. He has spent his entire life farming in that community. Surviving are two sisters Mrs. A.A. Drummond of Mt. Sterling and Mrs. Edward Morris of Colorado; two nieces and six nephews, including Eddie Miller who lived with Jones. Funeral services were held on Oct. 9 and burial was in the Jones Cemetery near Mt. Sterling.
