Bessie Elizabeth Parker,85, of Bonaparte died Sunday Oct.7,2001, at the Van Buren Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua, where she had resided since April 1998. She was born May 22,1916 near Cantril to David and Hannah Garrett Winters. She married Louie Parker, Feb.14,1935 in Keosauqua. He died January 23,1992. They lived most of their married life in Bonaparte. She was a homemaker. Surviving are five sons, Louie Jr. of Ft. Madison, Gary of Bonaparte, Doanld and Rick both of Mt. Pleasant and Ronald of Farmington; three daughters, Barbara Troutman, Beverly Medaris, and Carolyn Morris all of Bonaparte; 26 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. her parents, two brothers, George and David and a sister, Evelyn, preceded her in death. Funeral services were held Oct.10 at the Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua. Burial was in the Bonaparte Cemetery.
