Mavis Marjorie Fisher Stookesberry,70, of Milton died Oct. 15,1991, at her home. She was born Oct. 28,1920, near Milton to Clarence W. and Goldie Strait Fisher, She married Clark W. Stookesberry on Sep. 7,1947, in Milton. She was a 1939 graduate of Milton High School and graduated from the school of Cosmetology in 1941. She owned and operated Moderne Beauty Shop in her home for 40 years. She is survived by her husband and two daughters, Marlene of Knoxville,Il and Joyce of Milton; one son, John and his wife Sonia of Milton; three grandaughters, Faith, Stefany, and Nancy. She is also survived by a brother, Lloyd Fisher of Bloomfield; and a sister Mary Louise Short of Milton. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Helen Ardis Barker. The funeral was held Oct. 18,1991 at the Grace Methodist Church in Milton. Burial was in the Lebanon Cemetery.
