Jennie J. Cole, daughter of George and Jane Rupe Zachau was born Nov. 7,1892, near Douds and departed this life Aug. 18,1978, at her home in Bonaparte, at the age of 85. On Nov.8,1912, she married Charles W. Cole. He died in 1962. Remaining to cherish her memory are three sons, Roy of Newton, Raymond of Farmington and Lester of Gallatin, Mo; two daughters Mrs. Verla Wolfe of Keosauqua and Mrs. Ruth Manning of Cantril, twelve grandchildren, several great grandchildren and a half-sister, Margaret Zachau of Keosauqua. Two sisters and a brother preceded her in death. Funeral services were held Aug.20,1978 at the Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua, Interment was in the Pittsburg Cemetery.
