Clarence Witt, son of Charles and Sarah Zachau Witt, was born May 29,1900, near Keosauqua and died Feb.8,1991, at the Jefferson County Hospital, Fairfield, at the age of 90. He married Anna Belle Miller on April 12,1932, at Memphis, MO. She died Oct.16,1967. He married Dorothy Jamison Wear, Aug.22,1968, in Owatonna,MN. Clarence lived his entire life in Van Buren Co. He farmed near Keosauqua, and worked for Barker Wire. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy, a son, Charles and his wife,Kay ,of Marion,IN, two step daughters-in-law, Barbara Jamison, Minneapolis, MN and Mamie Fowler of Wilmington,NC. six grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, a brother George of Mountain Home,AR, other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were four brothers, John, Sam, Allen, and Charles Witt and four sisters, Sally, Jennie Witt, Ada Warren and Della Forbes. Funeral services were held Feb. 11,1991, at the Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua. Interment was in Fellows Cemetery.
