Clark W. Stookesberry,73, of Milton, died Aug.30,1994, at Davis County Hospital, Bloomfield. He was born Feb. 27,1921, south of Bloomfield to Franklin Palmer and Hulda Jane Warning Stookesberry. He married Mavis Fisher, Sep.7,1947, in Milton. She died Oct. 15,1991. He attended Beulah Schoool in Davis Co. He was a World War II veteran, owned and operated Stookesberry Trucking Co. in Milton for 30 years, was a member of the Milton Lions Club and the Russell-Strait Post, and served on the Milton City Council and Fire Department. He had resided in the Bloomfield Care Center for the past two years. Surviving are two daughters, Marlene Johnson, Knoxville,IL and Joyce Stookesberry, Edinburg,TX, 2 sons Dennis in Minnesota and John, of Milton, 4 grandchildren, 3 sisters, Estelene Lunsford, Milton, Wanda Dabney, Washington and Edith Van Landingham, AZ, and three brothers;Harold, in Colorado,Donald of Ottumwa, and Richard in Texas. he was preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters, Agnes, Lora, Nora, and Janett, and a brother, Darrell. Funeral services were held Sept.1, at the Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua. Burial was in Lebanon Cemetery, with military rites by Russell-Strait Post.
