Salome Mxwell Ewing was born May 20,1893, at Kilbourne. Ia and died Aug. 22,1959, at the Van Buren Co. Hospital. She was the daughter of Sloan and Laura Carr Maxwell and had lived her entire life in Van Buren Co. She was married to Ben Ewing at Kilbourne, on Feb. 10,1910. To this union was born two children, Mrs. Isabel Loeffler of Birmingham and Max Ewing of Keosauqua, who survive. She also leaves five grandchildren, Melvin Ewing of East Moline, Il, Mrs. Myrna McCarty of Donnellson, Mrs. Norma Ramsey of Keosauqua, Mrs. Janet Smith and Gary Loeffler of Birmingham, as well as six grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Ray Martin of Birmingham. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and three brothers.
