William Lancaster,67, of Mr. Sterling, died Thursday April 19th, in the Memorial hospital in Keosauqua. He was a lifelong resident of Mt. Sterling. He suffered a broken hip in January and had been ill since that time. Mr. Lancaster was born July 25,1883, in Scotland county, Mo, the son of James and Margaret Gordy Lancaster. He is survived by his wife, a daughter Lorene, at home; three sisters Mrs. Ollie Wolf of Mt. Sterling Mrs. Anna Holland of Keosauqua, and Mrs. Cora Poling of Hardesty,Ok and a brother Ely of Mt. Sterling. Funeral services were held in Keosauqua at the Burnett-Calcott Funeral Home. Burial was in Harness cemetery in Mt. Sterling.
