The graveside services for Mrs. Ellen Lancaster,83, who died Friday, at the Van Buren County Memorial hospital, a few hours after being admitted, was Saturday, August 8, at the Harness cemetery, at Mt. Sterling. She was the daughter of George and Amanda Rupe, born April 30,1881, at Mt. Sterling. She married George Parsons, who preceded her in death. She later married William Lancaster, who died April 19,1951. Survivors include a son, George Parsons; a daughter Mrs. Paul Jack; a sister Mrs. Emma Miller, all of Keosauqua and three grandchildren.
