George R. Parson

George R. Parson, son of George and Ellen Rupe Parson, was born Sept. 2,1905, near Mt. Sterling, and departed this life Friday, Dec. 30,1966, at the Raymond Huff home near Keosauqua, at the age of 61. His entire life was spent in Van Buren county. For many years he was employed on the Jennie Witt farm near Keosauqua and the last year and eight months had been employed on the Huff farm. Remaining to mourn his passing are an aunt, Mrs. Emma Miller of Keosauqua; two half sisters, Mrs. Paul Jack of Keosauqua and Mrs. Mae Bruders of Fairfield; a number of cousins including Mrs. Raymond Huff and Mrs. Clarence Witt of Keosauqua; other relatives and many friends. His parents and a half-sister preceded him in death. Funeral services were held Monday Jan.2,1967, at the Mt. Sterling Methodist church. Interment was in the Harness Cemetery at Mt. Sterling.
