STOCKPORT: Eugene Girard Workman, son of Oliver Perry Workman and Rachel Harper Workman, was born near Stockport, Iowa, July 4, 1873, and passed away at his hme in Stockport, Oct. 11, 1942, at the age of 69 years, 3 months, and 7 days. He was married to Ada Anna Newman, May 6, 1903. To this union were born two sons, Lloyd Walter (Maynie)and Lester Eugene (Mary Louise).

He is survived by his widow, two sons, two daughters-in-law, and two granddaughters, Nancy Jean Workman and Shirley Ann Workman, one brother; R.A. Workman, all of Stockport, and one sister, Mrs Jesse Fleming (Mary) of Fairfield and several neices and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He was a member of the Stockport Methodist Church and was Past Master of the Workman Masonic Lodge, in Stockport, of which he was a charter member. He was also it's secretary for many years.

Funeral services conducted by Rev. Walter Sieck were held at the Stockport Methodist Church on Tuesday afternoon. Members of the Stockport Lodge A.F & A.M. presented the Masonic ritual. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, Iowa.
