James Hawk, 80, died at 6 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, 1958 at the Hainline nursing home, where he had been a resident for the past year and a half. Death terminated a long illness.

A retired laborer, Hawk was a life resident of Bonaparte. He was born Dec. 8, 1877. He never married.

Last rites will be conducted at the Bonaparte Baptist church, of which Hawk was a member, at 2 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in the Bonaparte cemetery. The body is at the Farmington funeral home.
