MRS. MARY JEMISON

KEOSAUQUA.--The funeral of Mrs. Mary Jemison, 81, who died Thursday in Memorial Hospital, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Keosauqua Christian Church, Pastor Jack Armstrong will officiate. Burial will be in Purdom Cemetery.

Mrs. Jemison was the daughter of William and Nancy Rupe Ewing and was born near Mount Sterling May 30, 1883. She was married on April 8, 1903, to Albert E. Jemison of Keosauqua, who died Feb. 5, 1947. She was a member of the Christian Church.

Survivors are one son, Dr. H. G. Jemison, of Independence, Mo.; a daughter, Mrs. John Stegelman of Keosauqua; four grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She also leaves four brothers, Ben Ewing of Mount Zion, Clarence Ewing of Pittsburg, Martin Ewing of Garden City, Kan., and Emmett Ewing of Bonaparte, and a sister, Iva Ewing of Mount Zion. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, three brothers and three sisters.
