Glen Davis of Bonaparte was instantly killed at 3 o'clock Monday afternoon, November 19, 1923 when he came in contact with a live wire while working on the high-line of the Iowa Electric Company.

The accident happened while Mr. Davis and others were engaged in stringing a third wire from Birmingham to Bonaparte. Davis came into contact with a wire carrying a high voltage and was knocked to the ground and picked up dead. The sad happening took place a short distance south of Birmingham.

Mr. Davis was a married man, living in Bonaparte, and is survived by his wife and three children. He was a highly respected man and his untimely end is a source of sorrow to all who knew him.
