Willard J. Steinmeyer, 58, died suddenly Thursday, May 23, 1963 at 7:50 a.m., at his home in Bonaparte.

He was employed as a meat cutter at Al's Market in Keosauqua. He was a member of the Bonaparte Baptist Church.

He was born May 29, 1904 in Van Buren County the son of Edward and Ettie Von Seggen Steinmeyer and lived in the county all his life.

He married Leola Keeler, May 10, 1924 at Farmington, Iowa.

He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Madalynne Parish, Mt. Sterling, Mrs. Patsy Roush, Mt. Sterling and Mrs. Sheila Shriver of Ft. Madison; one brother, Harold Steinmeyer of Ottumwa and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 25 at 2 p.m., at the Bonaparte Baptist Church with burial at the Bonaparte cemetery with the Rev. Robert Thompson officiating.
