Oscar N. (Os) Jemison.91, died Wednesday Feb. 23 at the Van Buren Co. Hospital where he had been a patient since Jan. 19. He had been failing in health for four years. The son of John and Sarah Ellen Scott Jemison, he was born Oct. 29,1880, at Pittsburg. On Dec. 24.1902 he married Anna Ewing, at Mt. Zion. She died March 3,1963. Survivors are two sons Harold of Keosauqua and Maurice of Oskaloosa;and four grandchildren. Two sons, Phillip and Carl, and one daughter Irma Koonts preceded him in death. The funeral was held Saturday Feb. 26 at the Keosauqua Christian Church. Burial was in the Purdom Cemetery.
