Andrew DeHart was born Jan. 14, 1867 and died at his home Apr. 19, 1898 being at his death 31 years, 3 months and 5 days of age.

He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. George DeHart and spent his younger days at his father's home on Vernon Prairie, but as he grew older he turned his mind toward educational work and became a teacher of considerable fame. He taught as substitute in the Bonaparte High Schools for 3 months, and proved to be a successful instructor.

He was married on Feb. 7, 1897, to Miss Della Lorton, whom, with a father, two brothers and two sisters he leaves to mourn his loss.

The funeral was held Wednesday, April 20, the services being conducted by Rev. Chas. Wilson, and remains were interred in Center Chapel cemetery.
