Nancy Eleanor, daughter of John and Sarah Burr, was born near Coffeyville, Kan., May 19, 1869, and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Walter Breitenstein, near Farmington, Iowa, Wednesday, August 20, 1941, at the age of 72 years, 3 months and 1 day.

She was united in marriage with Charles Miner on July 26, 1894, and to this union were born three children, Mrs. Olive Blunt of Milford, Iowa, Charles Arthur, who passed away in infancy, and Mrs. Sara Breitenstein of Farmington, Iowa.

Besides her daughters she leaves to mourn her passing twelve grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Edith Custer of Green Castle, Mo., and two brothers, Arthur Burr of Fairfield, Iowa and Frank Burr of Seymour, Iowa, besides a host of relatives and friends.

After the death of her husband on January 3, 1933, she moved with her aged parents to Seymour, Iowa and cared for them there until their death.

In May of this year because of ill health she closed her home in Seymour and came to stay with her daughter, Sara, and family.

She was a member of the Methodist church at Bonaparte. Her idea of Christian work was to be of service to others, and her entire life was devoted to that ideal.

Funeral services were held at the Bonaparte Methodist church Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. H. E. Butler, pastor of the Milton Methodist church. Interment in Bonaparte cemetery.
