JACOB B. LINEAWEAVER
OBITUARY SKETCH.Jacob B. Lineaweaver was born in Londonbeery township, Lebanon Co., Penn., June 1, 1833, and died on the morning of Feb. 8, 1905, aged 71 yrs. 7 mos. and 19 days. He was the eldest child of John and Mary Lineaweaver.
He came with his parents to Burlington, Ia., April 20, 1847 where they remained until Sept. 10th of the same year, when they came to Vernon Prairie locating five miles south west of Bonaparte where he remained with his parents until his mother's death on July 16, 1878, then the following summer in 1879, he went to live with his brother G. P. Lineaweaver and family, and remained until Nov. 7 1891 when he came back to the old home. His father died on March 17, 1892 and since that time he has stayed with his youngest brother, J. J. Lineaweaver and family on the old home place, until death called him to meet his parents.
He leaves to mourn their loss two brothers; Geo. P. of Bonaparte, John J. of Vernon township and one sister, Mrs. Chas. Dings of Ottumwa Iowa.
Funeral services were held at the old home, Thursday afternoon, Feb. 9, conducted by Rev. Carson of Keosauqua, and the remains were laid to rest by the side of his parents in the Lutheran cemetery.
