Mrs. Hattie L. Arnold was born near Marion, Ind., Feb 26, 1869, and passed away Jan. 14, 1950, at the Graham home near Farmington.

At an early age she moved with her family to Kansas, and the early part of her life was spent near Greeley, in that State. She was united in marriage in 1905 to Bion C. Arnold of near Salem, Iowa, who died Feb. 1, 1917. Mrs. Arnold has resided in Farmington for the past 22 or 23 years, where she was well known and respected.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Laura Heininger, Sacramento, Calif., Mrs. Jennie Tucker, Lodi, Calif., two brothers, J. A. McNeil and R. H. McNeil of Kansas City, Mo.; and a stepson, James B. Arnold, also of Kansas City.

She was a member of the Methodist church in Farmington, was a loyal friend to all and a good and true Mother to her stepchildren, two of whom, Mrs. Frances Graham and Mrs. Ada Young preceded her in death.

The Rev. Fay Marriott conducted the funeral services from the Farmington Methodist church Tuesday afternoon. Burial was in the Salem cemetery.
