Betty L. Arnold, daughter of Wilbert and Lucille Roberts Huffman was born July 1,1929 in Ottumwa and departed this life the afternoon of Saturday. Dec. 6,1986 at the Ottumwa Regional Health Care Center, at the age of 57. She grew up in Keosauqua and graduated from Keosauqua High School. She was disaster chairman of the Van Buren County Chapter American Red Cross, and a member of the Women's International Bowling Congress. Betty had been employed at Van Buren Co. Hospital, Good Samaritian Center, and Keosauqua Bowling Alley. She was an avid bowler and sports fan. She married Earl Arnold ,April 16,1949 in Keosauqua, where they have lived their married life. Surviving are her husband; a daughter Kathy Anderson, Des Moines; a son Randy, Keosauqua, and two grandchildren. Also surviving are her mother of Keosauqua, four brothers, Jack Huffman in Florida, Jerry Huffman, Aurora,Il, and James and Joe both of Keosauqua. Her father and a brother Donald preceded her in death. Funeral services were held Dec. 8,1986 at the Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua. Interment was in Fellows Cemetery.
