Rachel Neal, daughter of Uriel Neal was born near LaFayette, Indiana, March 19, 1835 and passed away Sept. 20, 1920 at her home near Bonaparte where she has resided since about three years of age. At her death she was 85 years, 6 months and 1 day old.

Funeral services were held from the Charles Saddler home, Tuesday afternoon, with Rev. Walter Barber of Montrose officiating.

She was a lover of children, flowers and music and was always trying to show children a happy time.

Her life work is ended She never failed in doing her part so long as health permitted; always finding something for her busy hands, which are now folded in rest.

She was tenderly cared for during her days of illness by loving hands, everything being done for her comfort and desire. She will be greatly missed.
