Mildred Sylvia Percival, 87, of Fairfield died Sept. 9, 1986 at Nelson Nursing Home in Fairfield.

She was born Aug. 10, 1899 in Des Moines to Bertram and Edith Jones Daugherty. She was a member of Presbyterian Church in Bonaparte, the Order of Eastern Star, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. She served for many years as a Gray Lady at Jefferson County Hospital. She was an ordinance inspector at the ordinance plant in Burlington. She had lived in Fairfield since 1961. She married Harley Percival Dec. 25, 1917 in Bonaparte. He died Feb. 27, 1932.

She is survived by two sons, Robert of Fort Madison and John of Covington, La.; and three grandchildren.

The service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield, the Rev. Carl Riggs officiating. Burial will be in Bonaparte Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home at their convenience. Memorials may be made to the Cancer Fund.
