Kenneth C. Warner, 75, Bonaparte, died at 4:25 a.m. Saturday, September 12, 1987 at University Hospitals, Iowa City.

Mr. Warner was born June 29, 1912 at Bonaparte. He was former owner-operator of the Bonaparte Grain Mill and also was a partner in the Keosauqua Sale Barn from 1964 to 1968. He was a member of the Bonaparte Presbyterian Church, the Bonaparte Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite bodies and Kaaba Shrine. He served as township clerk for 50 years.

On December 22, 1933 at Bonaparte, he married Mary Lane, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Charles Warner, Bonaparte; a brother, Ira Warner, Bonaparte; two sisters, Dorothy Simmons, Bonaparte, and Mrs. Brown (Helen) Moore, Bonaparte; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. His parents were Frank A. and Mary E. Thompson Warner.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 15, 1987 at the Bonaparte Presbyterian Church. The Reverend James Rozendaal officiated. Burial was in the Bonaparte Cemetery with Masonic services at the graveside.

Hofbauer Funeral Home, Farmington, was in charge of arrangements.

A memorial is being established with the First Responders and the Bonaparte Fire Department.
