Madge L. Diephuis, daughter of Leslie and Faye Kerr Hainline was born April 8, 1916 north of Bonaparte and departed this life Tuesday, April 22, 1986 at Princeton, Indiana where she was visiting her daughter, at the age of 70.

She married John Martin Diephuis, Sr. He died in 1972. A son, Lawrence Eugene also preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sons, Roger of Mt. Sterling and John, Jr. of Farmington; a daughter, Denise JoAnne Push, Princeton, Indiana; her mother, Faye Hainline, Bonaparte; and seven grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, Bruce Hainline, Bonaparte and three sisters, Garnet Pratt, Bonaparte, Agnes Grabeal, Sierra Vista, Arizona and Marceline Nelson, Merrill, Iowa.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 26, 1986 at 2:30 p.m., at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua with Rev. Charles Butler officiating. Interment was in Bonaparte Cemetery. Memorials may be sent in care of the funeral home.
