Blanche Freeman, 66, of Fall River, Kans., a former Farmington area resident, died Friday, Feb. 13, 1981 at 4:15 p.m. At Fredonia, Kans.
The daughter of Albert and Eva Bedford Van Patten, she was born July 1, 1914 at Rose Hill, Iowa.
She married Earl Freeman on Feb. 21, 1968 at Quincy, Ill. and he survives.
They moved to Fall River, Kans. from Luray, Mo. Two years ago.
She was a member of the New Testament Christian Church, Keokuk.
In addition to her husband, she is also survived by two daughters, Anna Marie Carter, Keokuk; and Wanda Smith of Fall River, Kansas; one step-daughter, Judy Thornsberry of Cantril; three sons, Gerald Sampson of Cedar Rapids, Edwin Sampson, Iowa City, and Michael Sampson of Liverpool, Ohio; one sister, Edna Morris of Bonaparte; 25 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, one son, one step-son and one brother.
The funeral was held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17 in the Hofbauer Funeral Home, Farmington. The Rev. Bill Houser of Keokuk officiated. Burial was in the Bonaparte cemetery.
