Charles Edward Black, son of James Ross and Eliza Ann Black, was born April 11,1877, at Selma and departed this life at his home north of Milton, Oct. 23,1942, at the age of 66 years, 6 months, and 12 days. on May 11,1900, he was united in marriage to Mary H. fisher and to this union was born three sons and three daughters; Janet at Ames, Mrs. Florence Carlson of Arbelia, Mo.,Ross at home,Mrs. Helen Moore at Ames, Robert at Inglewood,Ca and Edgar of Amarillo,Tx. Also 10 grandchildrren and one sister Mrs. J.W. McClure of Phillipsburg,Ks. On June 4,1931, he again was married to Mrs. Bertha Cles, who with the children and stepson Earl remain to mourn the passing. Funeral services were held tuesday afternoon in Milton and burial is in the Sunnyside cemetery.
