Lafeyette J. son of James and Matilda Parker was born March 25,1853, near Rome, Henry county Ia, and died March 17,1939 at the age of 85 years,11 months, and 21 days. On July 25,1883, he married Myra Jane Huff and to this union were born nine children, six of whom are living; James Parker of Trenton, Roy Parker and Mrs. Tilda Smith of Bonaparte,Mrs. Lila Pezley of Montrose, Mrs. Edith Schlotter of Keokuk, and Mrs. Lillian Boyer of Farmington. One brother J.H. Parker of Hamilton,Il. Funeral services were held at the Church of the Nazerene at Farmington on Sunday. Interment was in Vernon cemetery.
