Eli Hill was born Sept.26,1856, at Ashton,Mo, passing to rest at his home in Bentonsport, April 15,aged 75 years,6months, and 19 days. he was united in marriage to Laura B. Owings, Aug 11,1881 and in happy companionship have continued their home with the friends of a lifetime who recognized their nobility of heart and mind and beautiful traits of neighborly kindness toward all. Two children blessed this union Rosa Mae and Harry. Surviving are the wife and son Harry and 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday at Bentonsport abd interment was in Bentonsport cemetery.
