Emma Belle Miller,88, of rural Keosauqua, died Friday, Oct 15, at Van Buren Co. hospital, where she had been a patient for a week. She was the daughter of George and Amanda Sullivan Rupe being born April 7,1883, near Mt. Sterling. On Jan. 23,1908, she married Curtis Miller at Mt. Sterling. He died in 1952. A daughter, a stepson and two grandsons preceded her in death. She was the last of a large family. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Grace Huff of Keosauqua and a son Ernest of Riverside,Ca; 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Services were held Sunday,Oct. 17 at the Keosauqua Christian Church and interment was in Pittsburg cemetery.
