Mary E. Hiller.

Mary Elizabeth Williamson, daughter of Rev. Elijah Williamson, was born in Darke Co., Ohio, February 25, 1834. She had one brother, who with the father and mother, have preceded her to the other shore.

At the age of fourteen she was converted and united with the Christian church, and later, when she moved to Van Buren Co., she united with the Harrisburg Baptist Church, where she remained a consistent believer, and retained her membership until the time of her death.

October 20, 1851, she was married to John A. Hiller, a young man whose home was in the same neighborhood. They moved to Iowa in 1857, stopping for about a year in Washington Co., and then moving to Van Buren Co., where they located permanently in Harrisburg Twp., and lived there for more than thirty years.

The Hiller family moved to Bonaparte in 1893 and it was at their home here Mrs. Hiller died Saturday, September 3, 1910, aged 76 years, 6 months and 7 days. Her husband had died March 29, 1908.

One child, Lottie M., was born to this union, and she is left alone to mourn her loss.

Mrs. Hiller had been greatly afflicted during the latter part of her life, and was confined to her home most of the time. A constant sufferer, she was patient through all, and was upheld by the constant care and attention of her only daughter. She had been suffering for weeks before the end came, and she was called home.

The funeral was held Monday afternoon from the Baptist church in Bonaparte, with Rev. Hanson in charge. Interment was made in the Vale cemetery, Harrisburg Twp.
