Mrs. Thos. C. Pender.

Olive McCausland was born in Bonaparte, Iowa, October 12, 1851, and died at her home in the same town April 30, 1911, aged 59 years, six months and eighteen days.

January 9, 1869, she was united in marriage to Mr. T.C. Pender and to this union was born one son, Charles, who preceded his mother to the external world at the age of thirty years.

Her husband and one brother, W.S. McCausland, a merchant at Bonaparte and many relatives and friends mourn their loss.

She was faithful to all her duties, a loving wife, good neighbor and kind friend. She doth rest from her labors but of her the kindest memories remain.

The husband and brother of the deceased wish to thank the many friends for their kindness and for the sympathy extended during the time of bereavement.

Funeral services were held at the late home Tuesday afternoon conducted by Rev. T.L. Smith.

The pall bearers were members of Mr. Pender’s regiment in the civil war, viz., Henry Easling, Jerome Long, Martin Hornbaker, Frank Johnston, George Klise, and Jesse Meredith.
