Jacob Miller was born June 26,1842 in Van Burern Co.,IA and died August 2,1918, age 76yrs,1 month and 7 days. He was united in marriage to Emma Kritzman on June 22,1876 of Van Buren Co,IA. To this union was born 7 children, three dying in infancy, and three still living:Curtis, Walter, and Mrs. Edna Gray all of Van Buren Co. Mr. Miller was from a family of nine children six having preceded him in death; one brother John Miller of Ottumwa and one sister Mrs. Mary Peterson of Kansas are still living. His parents were Jacob and Catherine Miller who came to this county while Iowa was still a territory. Funeral services were conducted in the Keosauqua M.E. church Saturday afternoon at 2pm Interement was in Forbes Cemetery.
