Found Dead

The following facts in the death of Mr. Thompkins other than those contained in last weeks Bee, we glean from the Farmington Herald"

John White and wife, who live on the farm of the deceased and with whom he was boarding, report that Mr. Tompkin's absence was first discovered when they called him to dinner, but supposing he had gone to one of the neighbors thought little of it. As supper time approached and he had not yet put in an appearance Mr. White started in search of him and found the body at about 5:30 p.m., lying in the orchard face downward, dead. The new soon spread and as soon as a telephone could be reached word was sent to Farmington.

The jury consisting of E. H. Rockwell, C. S. Ross, Harry Vanocken and Dr. C. L. Paisley called to their assistance, examined the body and surroundings, after which the remains were removed to the house and the jury adjourned to meet at the Herald office in Farmington at 2 p.m. Tuesday where they arrived at the following verdict: That the deceased came to his death from natural causes, probably heart failure.
