Died, at the home, south of town on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1904, aged 39 years, 9 months and 15 days, Mrs. Emma C. Thompson, beloved wife of Geo. W. Thompson.

Emma C. King was born, April 11th, 1864, in Farmington, Iowa.

She was converted in 1885 and was ever afterwards a faithful and devoted follower of Christ.

She was united in marriage to Geo. W. Thompson Jan. 26th, 1887, and to this union were born three children, whom with the husband and five stepchildren mourn the loss of a kind and loving wife and mother.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, jan. 28, 1904, from Story Chapel, at 10 a.m., Rev. Carlson of Keosauqua officiating. Interrment [sic] in the Thompson cemetery.

Brewster & Page were the undertakers in charge.
