Mildred, daughter of George and Sadie Kerr, was born in Bonaparte, April 22, 1901, and departed this life Feb. 3, 1906, age 4 years, 9 months and 12 days.

A father, mother, three sisters, and a brother are left in the home with bowed heads and sad hearts.

The fair, fragile flower could stand no longer the cold blasts of the pain of life. The angels beckoned and she went with them. Jesus has taken her in his own loving arms, while the angels sing, and she is at rest. Now she does not waken to pain and sorrow, but life eternal.

So pure and patient was the little life, that it seems we can almost see into the Throne of Grace, see her happy face, and hear the words as they fall from her sweet lips again "Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not, for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven."

Now we miss the fond caress, the gentle prattle, the soft foot fall, the clasp of a little hand, and in the silence we hear a voice "Trust in Me, I will help you bear your cross." Her short life here was like a benediction. It pointed us to a nobler, purer, better life--aye to Heaven.

A father, mother, three sisters, two brothers are left at home with bowed heads and sad hearts. But bye and bye, God will turn the thorns into roses for we shall clasp to our hearts again our little treasure, in that home where parting never comes.

All that loving hearts and willing hands could do was done to ease the terrible suffering and prolong her stay with us.

The funeral was held from the home of the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Kerr, Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. Rev. Wilkins of the Baptist church conducting the services.
