Elsie M. Hamlin was born in Harrisburg township, Van Buren county, Ia., on April 26, 1874 and died Feb. 16, 1905. She was 30 years, 10 months and 20 days old.

She grew to womanhood in that community. She was converted when quite young and united with the Baptist church at Pella, Ia., afterwards bringing her letter to Harrisburg church.

She was married to Aaron Holiday on Dec. 17, 1902 in Aurora, Ill., coming to Utica, Ia., the following spring. Her health breaking down she came to her fathers last July, remaining with them until the end. She was very patient and faithful through all.

She leaves to mourn her loss a loving husband, father, mother, four brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services in charge of Rev. Geo. H. Wehn were held at the home of her parents and interment made in the Bonaparte cemetery, Feb. 17, 1905.
