Mrs. Maize Morton

Mrs. Maize Morton, 72, of Hamilton, Ind., passed away March 15, 1972 in a Michigan hospital following a heart attack while visiting a daughter in Michigan. She was born Aug. 20, 1899, the daughter of George and Sadie Lawrence Kerr of Bonaparte. She was united in marriage at Keosauqua, Iowa on Dec. 16, 1919 to Ray J. Morton of Bryan, Ohio, They lived in Ohio a few years and then moved to a farm near Hamilton, Ind. He passed away in November, 1967. To this union were born two daughters, Mrs. Helen Betts of near Howe, Ind. and Mrs. Maize Larson of Romulus, Mich. There are 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers and four sisters, William R. Kerr, Bonaparte; Arlie Kerr, Loveland, Colo.; Mrs. Florabelle Ford, Douds, Iowa; Mrs. Gertrude Lockwood, Belleville, Mich.; Miss Helen Kerr and Mrs. Faye Hainline, Bonaparte. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 18 at 2 P.M. at the Swift's Funeral Home in Hamilton, Ind. with burial at the Brown Cemetery near Bryan, Ohio.
