Albert W. Smith living one half mile west of Mount Hamil [sic], died at St. Joseph's hospital, Keokuk, of appendicitis, Tuesday, Feb. 7. He united with the Sharon Presbyterian church Feb. 14, 1889; was married on January 30, 1898, to Betsy Holmes of Bentonsport, Iowa, to which union were born five children, viz: Lydia, Oliver, Willie, Anna and an infant daughter born since his death. Besides his wife and children there survive him his parents, Samuel and Lydia Smith, and brothers Roy and John of Farmington, Charles of Webb City, Mo., Pierce of Colorado Springs, Colo., Mrs. Sally Burnett of Clarence, Mo., Mrs. Bertha Page of Bonaparte, Jasper, Mrs. Lizzy Glendenning and Mrs. Mary Holland of Mt.
