Mrs. George Schmidt Farmington- Died Wed. 1/22/1969
Mrs. Alice Irene Schmidt 80, wife of George C. Schmidt, died Wednesday at 3:46 pm in St. Joseph Hospital in Keokuk where she had been a patient since Aug. 5, 1968. Born March 19, 1888 in Farmington, she was the daughter of James and Belle Hayes Brabham. A lifelong resident of Farmington, she was employed by the Van Buren County Memorial Hospital at Keosauqua until retirement. She was a member of Farmington Church of the Nazarene. Her marriage took place March 5, 1907 at Farmington. Her husband survives. Also surviving are two sons, Carl of Farmington and Kenneth of Burlington; one daughter Georgia Miller of Des Moines; three grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three daughters , two sisters, one brother. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 PM at Farmington Church of the Nazarene and the Rev C.C. Swalwell and the Rev. J. Bryan Jones officiating. Burial will be in Greenglade Cemetery. The body is at Millers Home for Funerals.
