Anna M. Plowman, 96, of Douds died at 5:09 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, 1997, at the Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield.

She was born August 26, 1900 in Davis County southwest of Selma to Henry and Lena Weiss Ploss.

She married Delber L. Plowman May 16, 1925 in Keosauqua. He died January 30, 1979.

Surviving are two nephews, Merrill Parsons and his wife, Carol of Pekin, IL and Norman Parsons of Ottumwa, four great nephews and a great niece, other relatives and friends, including a cousin, Aleen Lister of Bloomfield.

She was preceed in death by her parents, two sisters, Lillie Plowman and Agnes Parsons and a brother, Fred Ploss.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 1997 at the Pedrick Funeral Home, Douds, with Richard Parsons officiating. Burial was in the Mount Moriah Cemetery north of Douds.
