Mrs Jane Blackledge

Mrs. Jane Blackledge, aged 94 years, who came to Iowa and located near Mt. Sterling in 1844, where she resided all her life, was buried at Mt. Sterling Tuesday of last week, her death occuring the Saturday previous at the home of her son-in-law, Samuel Stewart. She was a good woman and highly esteemed. Her husband died years ago, She was an aunt of H. E. Blackledge of Keosauqua. She was a member of the Christian church and the funeral services were in charge of Eld. Queen, pastor of that church at Mt. Sterling.
