Margaret Mills, wife of Vactor Hull, was born in Washington County, Pennsylvania, April 8th, 1862, and departed this life at her home near Cantril, Iowa, May 5th, 1916, at 1 o’clock p.m. aged 54 years and 27 days.
At the age of two years, she with her parents moved to Illinois, then later to Missouri where she resided until her marriage to Vactor Hull, which occurred December 17th, 1883. To this union wore born six children Lillian, Frank, Bert, Edith, Clyde I, and June Rose, all of Cantril, Iowa, except Bert, who passed away in infancy.
Those that are left to mourn are the husband, children, one sister, Mrs. Fannie Sample of Luray, Missouri; and six brothers C.F. Mills of Kansas City, Missouri; T. S. Mills of Rushville, Indiana; C. D. Mills of Winner, South Dakota; James Mills of Ponco, Oklahoma, and George and Will Mills of Mt. Sterling, Iowa.
Mrs. Hull became a member of the ? Church while they (information missing), was a kind wife and a loving mother; she was a home-body and her illness over so many weeks while not bed-fast, had kept her fast. She left a hope of meeting all in the Better World, She was spoken of by all who knew her, as a loving character.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church at Cantril, Iowa, Sunday, May 7th, at 2 o’clock p.m., conducted by Rev. Lloyd Tennant of Ft. Madison. He used the scriptures that were selected by Mrs. Hull, the 39th and 51st Psalms and used as a text for the sermon, Prov. 31-8, “Her children arise up and call her blessed.”
The music was by a select choir with Mrs. J. E. Harrison at the piano. A selected duet was so appropriate as sung by Mrs. Vera Fritz and Mrs. Geo. Holdefer. The pall bearers were Wm. Isenhower, W.S. Work, Chas. Moore, R. T. McDonald, George Downing, and Clyde Cavitt. Interment was made in the Maple Grove ?
