MARY E. THOMPSON
Mrs. David Thompson died at 9:25 o’clock Wednesday morning at her home in the east part of Eldon.
She had been sick for about two weeks but her condition did not become critical until the last few days, when pneumonia developed and she grew steadily worse until the end.
Mary E. Bink was born at Lebanon, Iowa, March 16, 1858, and died January 14, 1920.
She was married to David Thompson January 25, 1877, at Lebanon. To this union ten children were born two having preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband and the following children. George F. of Keokuk, Etta B. Harris of Llno, Texas, Jesse T. of Chicago, Seth C. of Ollie, Minn., David B. of Eldon, Ethel May Lutz of Trenton, Mo., Anna Lee Gordon of Knoxville and Frank of Eldon, Solomon Jefferson and Dottie Leah died in infancy.
One sister, Mrs. Belle C. Kittle of Azen, Mo., also survives. The husband of the deceased has been at Job, West Virginia, but started for Eldon when notified of his wife’s death.
Funeral services will be conducted by Milo Reno at the Christian Church at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, January 17. Interment in the Eldon Cemetery.
