At the home of his son, John W. Humphryes, at Grand Junction, Ia., Dec. 18, 1894, Mr. Henry Humphryes, aged 66 years, 11 months and 12 days. Deceased was born in London, England, Jan. 6, 1828. He grew to manhood in the city of his nativity, and was married to Miss Maria Oakshett, Feb. 10, 1850. On the 14th of February of the same year they set sail for America, and reached Bonaparte on May 5th. Here they resided until death took his companion July 20, 1894. To this union was born two children, one son and one daughter, who, with their seven grand children, are left to mourn their loss.

The funeral took place from the Baptist church in Bonaparte Dec. 20, Rev. G. W. Barber, of Eldon, officiating.
