William C. Cullum was born in Jefferson county, Ohio, Jan. 28, 1831. Died July 10, 1897, at the age of 66 years, 5 months and 12 days. He came to Van Buren county, Iowa, 1857; was married to Caroline Stackbarker in 1867. Three children were born to this union, two daughters and one son. He leaves to mourn his loss, a wife, a daughter, a son and three grandchildren, one daughter and two grandchildren having preceeding [sic] him to the better world. He served three years in the late war. The funeral was conducted at his late residence by Rev. Wilkins, of Farmington, and the remains reposed in the White cemetery.
