Mrs. Brooks H. Collins, 87, a resident of Bonaparte for 25 years, died at 6 p. m. Monday, August 25 at Memorial hospital in Keosauqua.

She had been in ill health for a year, and on August 14 was taken to the hospital after breaking her hip in a fall.

The daughter of Conrad and Laura Henkle, she was born May 7, 1871, in Missouri. She lived in Chicago prior to coming here.

Her husband, Charles Collins, of Bonaparte survives, also a nephew, Stanley Meek, of Cedar Rapids.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 27 at 2 p. m. at the Collins residence. Rev. Jerry Beltz officiating. Burial at Bonaparte Cemetery.
